Gardens by the Bay did a marvellous job ushering in Chinese New Year with the floral display inspired by the Legend of Lady White Snake. One of China’s great folktales, it is a tragic love story of a female snake spirit who falls for a mortal, and becomes human to marry him. The 4.5-metre-tall floral display of Lady White Snake is gorgeous, and is complemented by a beautiful, colourful landscape that shows off traditional houses, a stream, a pagoda and pavilions.
